Saturday the Hurricane 16th Ward had a Luau. We have Samoan friends in our ward who put on a beautiful program with numerous costumes and dances. It was spectacular! We had an amazing amount and variety of food to eat before the program started too.

Weeks before the party, the young men learned the HAKA; Young Women were taught a hula dance; the Relief Society sisters also learned to hula - I enjoyed that! We all did. Throughout the show, we (the ward members) were called on to show OUR STUFF!!! The performers would have a costume change while the Young Men performed the HAKA, then later the YW danced and towards the very end of the program, I danced with the RS. Everyone was smiling at this FUN party.
In this first video, Sadie dances front and center. The next two show Cari, in the back, moving to the beat!
In the middle of the entertainment, Mike and Trevon were asked to "help" on stage. They ended up being very entertaining with their spontaneous dancing. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and they had fun too! It was a party none of us will soon forget.
that is AWESOME!!! The boys just said: Shake what your momma gave ya! :)
