My brother Aaron, his wife Robyn and their children came for a weekend visit. While they were here, we went to the 2010 Dixie Escalante Electric KITE FESTIVAL. For the past three months, our kids have kept track of reading minutes. At the festival they were able to turn in their reading minutes in exchange for a kite. It was a great incentive for our younger kids to read every day. Kristi, Cameron and Elise all earned a kite.
We made sandwiches and brought snacks to eat while there. The kids were able to play some games and fly their new kites. I enjoyed seeing the SunRiver Golf Course and sort of want to re-watch the movie HighSchoolMusical2 now, which was filmed there. The sun can be draining, and it was nice to return home after our time out together.
At home, we had a BBQ and the kids played together. The time we spent together at home was the best part of the day, in my opinion. It is so nice to visit with family and I am so thankful we were able to spend the weekend together with our Matheson family.
Loved looking at the photos! Made me homesick for Aaron and his family. Glad he has you to visit. Be thinking of games we can play with family members at the reunion. Would like more interaction so that 2nd cousins could get to know each other better. Lv you all. mom
