Half Marathon Aids

On Saturday morning, Trevon, Cari and I woke EARLY and headed to a spot around the tenth mile of the Hurricane Half Marathon. We set up a table with Gatorade and water cups, and waited for the runners to come by. It was great to hand them some quick refreshment and cheer them on. It has been four years since I've run a half- marathon and almost that long since I ran a marathon, but the emotions were close as I watched the runners go by. It was great being able to WOO HOO them and see friends running in it as well. Trevon filled the cups as we needed them and Cari and I gave out water. Others helping with us, handed out the Gatorade. It was a great way to start the day, helping others.
