Bon Voyage

Friday night we attended a Bon Voyage Concert of the Zion Youth Symphony Orchestra. They played seven different pieces for parents, friends and family; some featured a few of the performers as soloists. After the performance, we stayed for some last minute instructions concerning the 2010 Santa Barbara tour, the orchestra would be leaving on, just four hours later.

We took Sadie home and helped her with her last minute packing. She was very thoughtful in her preparations. She wanted to observe the Sabbath as best as she could while she was away, and took special care to have food with her to eat so that she wouldn't have to go out on Sunday. She didn't want to cause another to have to work on Sunday because of her(whether shopping for food or eating out, etc). It was her own personal decision and we were pleased that she was so thoughtful and serious about her decision. She arrived at Disneyland Saturday morning and spent the day having fun there. We look forward to seeing her again on Wednesday.

The ZYSO tour to Santa Barbara includes performances in Disneyland Resort's Carnation Plaza, at Santa Barbara's Art Festival, and at an elementary school. They will also attend performances by the LA Philharmonic and the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony.
