Cari auditioned for and made the high school honor choir. This was similar to the honor band she was involved with previously this month. She rehearsed with the choir on Friday (all day) and much of Saturday. Then, on Saturday night they performed a concert under the direction of Dr. Robert Briggs (Dixie State College). She thoroughly enjoyed her experience singing; More than she ever expected she would. She was one of sixteen sopranos (22 altos, 18 tenors, 19 basses), in the choir. The 75 students who participated came together from 7 different high schools. Each dressed in their school's concert attire for the concert. They performed five musical numbers: And The Father Will Dance (Hayes) Cross-Cry (Martin) The Quest Unending (Martin) The Gypsy Fiddler (Melrose) Arise, Your Light Has Come (Danner)
Her favorite numbers were Cross-Cry (a song about the Crucifixion and Ascension of Jesus Christ), and The Gypsy Fiddler (a comical, upbeat and fast moving number).
