Asking for a Date

It is nearing that time when the high schoolers start thinking about PROM! Trevon decided who he wanted to ask (to be revealed later), and then couldn't rest until the asking was done. We sat around the dinner table on Monday trying to give him some good ideas. He wanted to do something simple and turned down most of our ideas. Finally, he decided to put pieces of his question inside hollow chocolate eggs, and leave them on her doorstep. We cut into the egg, pushed in the paper, slightly melted the slit we had made - smoothing it over and covering it up.





He had a total of forty eggs, five of which had the paper slips in them. (I noticed that if you shook the egg, you could feel the paper moving inside it. That might make the question easier to find....if she shakes them.) A tag on the bag of eggs indicated to her to look inside the eggs for a question. I didn't take a picture of the final project, but it was colorful as the eggs were each wrapped in a bright colored foil wrap. After making his "delivery," Trevon was able to rest and decided to take his little brothers fishing.
