Trevon participated in legislative role play in the State Office Building Auditorium. Here, he watched a council (made up of other youth council members from Utah) that went through the motions of passing a bill. The bill was to not allow people under the age of 18 years to use a cell phone in a car. Audience members were able to participate in debate for or against the bill by talking in a microphone at the front. Trevon said that the bill ended up passing, but he thought the bill needed amending saying "adult" drivers should also refrain from using phones and it shouldn't be limited only to the youth who drive.

Liz Murray was a guest speaker that Trevon thoroughly enjoyed. She shared about her life as a homeless teen fending for her life. With help from a teacher, she was able to overcome her circumstances through education, eventually graduating from Harvard University.
They ate lunch at the Grand America Hotel and Trevon was amazed at the grandeur of both the building and the "fancy" food they ate. It was quite elaborate and he was reminded of proper etiquette while eating at a well set table.
During lunch, the Keynote Speaker (for the adult officials), Clayton Christensen began speaking. Before he finished his remarks, hundreds of youth who were in attendance left, including Trevon's group who went to the State Capitol for a private tour with Representative Brad Last. He took them all through the building "everywhere," in various rooms and introduced them to some senators and representatives that were lurking about. It was an educational and memorable day for Trevon.
