Spring Break Begins . . . and so does the work!

Spring Break is here! The kids aren't wasting any time and have already gotten out the board games! They sure do play well together and will be lifelong friends. The girls were in a creative mood as well. Sadie and Kristi got their beads out and began making necklaces and bracelets, just for fun. Elise requested they make her one with "princess" spelled out on it. She got her wish and happily wears her new gift.

Mike has off of work this coming week as well and will be finishing up work on the basement bathroom remodel. Last week he finished the drywall and texture and painted the room a classic taupe color. Shelly is always nearby to help him when needed. She spent over 5 hours priming the room so that he could paint it. Talk about sore muscles the next day! This week they will finish laying the tile and then install a new toilet, vanity, mirror and lighting. YEAH! Sharing the bathroom upstairs has been a challenge and everyone looks forward to getting this new one DONE!

Trevon has been given the responsibility of planting this year's garden. Since Mike is busy in the basement, Trevon will be deciding what to plant and where to put everything. Cameron will most likely be his right hand man. The whole family enjoys the "fruits" of this labor!
